 

#  Solar Eclipse Seen Through a New Lens

 The 100 mm diameter metalens, fabricated by Dr. Joon-Suh Park and published earlier this year, has this week travelled to see the solar eclipse. The first ever metasurface images of a solar eclipse, captured by Arman Amirzhan, were taken in the zone of totality, at a site near Irasburgh, Vermont (44°49'50.5"N 72°14'23.8"W).
